SB 2024 would ban the sale of vapor products manufactured in China, leaving people who are quitting smoking with a small selection of domestically made alternatives. This ban is not limited to products that are entirely manufactured in China. Instead, the bill indiscriminately targets hardware or liquid regardless of whether or not the final product is ultimately assembled in America. This means that even vapor products that are authorized for sale by the FDA would be prohibited under this bill.

If passed, SB 2024 would take effect on September 1, 2025.

Please take action TODAY–before the House votes on this bill–by sending a message to Texas Representatives urging them to oppose this harmful bill. There is simply not enough domestic manufacture of e-cigarettes to make up for the products being banned by SB 2024 and this will leave people who are quitting smoking with severely limited access to legal alternatives to smoking.
