Washington – Stop Unelected Health Officials from Banning Flavored Vapor Products!

current status

01/31/22 – Scheduled for Public Hearing: S. Committee on Health and Long Term Care, Jan. 31, 1:30PM

01/11/22 – First reading, referred to Health and Long Term Care Cmte.

SB 5768 would grant Washington’s Secretary of Health broad authority to ban flavors in vapor products and establish a cap on nicotine content. This bill would also add matters of labeling, ingredient disclosure, and testing byproducts of aerosolization to the Department of Health’s authorities. All of this without ensuring robust public debate about new, potentially harmful regulations on nicotine products.

  • SB 5768 is scheduled for a public hearing on
    Monday, January 31, 2022
    1:30 PM
Senate Committee on Health and Long Term Care
