HEADS UP // Oregano Flavor Ban!!
House Bill 3090 (1st reading on 1.24.23) is a FLAVOR BAN that “is the next step in reducing the number of people who vape.” An unbelievably short-sighted, unscientific and reckless goal that will inevitably lead to MORE SMOKING.
Oh I totally agree! I’m in NJ and they have had a flavor ban for the past few years so I had to go alternate ways to get my juice. I’ll be so glad when I move to Oregon next month no flavor ban there!

HEADS UP! // NEW YORK
Governor Kathy Hochul has announced that she wants to ban the sale of flavored tobacco products in NY. Flavored vapor products are already banned in NY, so this would further reduce adult access to far less harmful smoking alternatives.

FDA // Low Risk to Youth Outweighs Great Risk to Adults
This week the agency rejected Vuse menthol refills, stating that tobacco-flavored products don’t “have the same appeal to youth” so don’t “pose the same degree of risk.” However, tobacco flavor also doesn’t have the same appeal to ADULTS, which decreases the chances that they’ll quit SMOKING, which is a far greater public health risk.

REGULATION // Fighting the Good Fight
“Association members have beaten an executive order from the governor, an attempted ban in Washington County, and we will beat the Multnomah County ban as well. We’re also engaged at the legislature and will aggressively fight against an appeal of our Washington County victory.”
I don’t even smoke, but I’d rather have someone vape than smoke an actual cigarettes( it has to do with the smell).
And this “for children safety” doesn’t even pass the test, because if our lawmakers were so worried about the kids, there wouldn’t be a measure 110.— BrownBear (@BRWN_Philosophy) January 27, 2023

RESEARCH // Basically Wrong
“E-cigarettes” = Nicotine vapor products with PG/VG.
“E-cigarettes” ≠ Illicit THC products with vitamin E acetate.
If you can’t even get that basic fact correct, then you have no business moving forward with a study on the health effects of e-cigarettes.
Brilliant scientists attempt to connect VG inhalation to "EVALI." Hopefully they'll follow up to explain how vapers in the U.S. escaped the effects for 14 years before "EVALI," and vapers everywhere else in the world were not affected at all.https://t.co/PmG8NY6Dfd

RESEARCH // Misinforming Dentists
Study finds RAKE anti-vaping program successfully misinforms dentists about e-cigarettes, which they will then pass on to patients. These dentists will essentially be implying to patients who can’t or won’t quit smoking that they may as well keep smoking.
RESEARCH // Missing Details Impact Results
Researchers inexplicably say they found “greater pulmonary inflammation” from vaping than smoking. That alone makes this questionable, but [typical of vape studies] no info about smoking history, nicotine strength, flavors, device or power settings.
RESEARCH // Failure to Compare for Harm Reduction
Generating misleading headlines like “Vaping causes lung damage just like smoking,” this MOUSE study really only found signs of inflammation. Researchers failed to make any comparison with SMOKING, even though the main point of vaping is HARM REDUCTION.
How does the phrase "e-cigarettes containing tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) " get past peer review?
If it contains THC, it is NOT an e-cigarette.@Rights4vapers@VAEPinfo @INNCOorg @thecvaofficial
